Holo-Pinkish + Nail Butter

So jazzed about this nail butter. It smells like teen spirit. You will need to get it to find out if I’m lying or not (I’m not endorsed by them in any way in case you’re wondering about my enthusiasm).

And my holographic pink gel nails.

The WhoLock Comic-con Nails
So what better way to celebrate the best geek ritual of the year than by doing some Doctor Who + Sherlock crossover nails? Comic-con maybe all about TV shows at this point but why not celebrate that by donning the obviously better shows on your nails? Lolz.
Everything is handpainted and all the 3D elements (the Tardis, the 3d glasses and the stag night beaker) are made of acrylic. We wanted to focus on the 10th Doctor because lbh, he’s the cutest, and season 3 of Sherlock. I can’t stop cracking up about the mournstache.

Miró Miró on the Wall…Guess who’s not all that Surrealist after all?
So the lines kinda remind me of Joan Miró stuff. Other than that I really wanted to try the marbling thing. I’ve been on that Metamorphic Rock tip of late.
Done with OPI, angel Pro, Presto, brushes and self respect. Lawlz.

Yung Love Nails
These remind me of when I was younger (teen years and such) and things were fruitier than ever.
In love with cacti of late so had to put in the Prickly Pear Cactus thumb.
Handpainted with gels and nostalgia.

The Great Showdowns Nails
I think I first found out about Scott C when he did some pieces for a Twin Peaks show and have been a fan ever since. I have so many of his books and some prints and paintings at home and his super cute illustrations never disappoint. His most recent show at Gallery 1988 features the latest additions to his Showdowns series and keeping with my fangirl vibes, I obviously had to do some nails. These are probably the most detailed nails I have done and the faces were just…so friggin small!

The showdowns featured on my nails are: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Psycho, Akira, Titanic and A Trip to the Moon. Super kewt times! The show is still up at Gallery 1988 West if any of you crazy kids are in the area (Los Angeles).
